About:
As a Construction Health and Safety Manager you will report to the TBD. Your responsibility will be to plan implement coordinate and manage Safety programs and procedures according to engineering & construction principals in order to ensure the safe working conditions and processes are maintain, followed and where required improved on the several Construction sites of the Company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and ensure, in accordance with the Company guidelines, the development, planning, implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Management System and its application within projects
- Establish and lead the project's HSE work process during the entire project life cycle, from development to construction and operation stages
- Investigate accidents, injuries, or occupational hazards/illness’ to determine causes and put in place preventive measures
- Report and review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, and environmental tests
- Develop, plan, conduct or coordinate worker training sessions for areas such as safety law and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
- Interpret safety regulations in construction safety and communicate accordingly
- Inform on progress and compliance with the KPI’s in a systematic way and in accordance with the requirements
- Maintain and build relationships with external organizations such as fire departments and rescue teams in order to facilitate emergency responses
- Write and revise safety regulations and codes
- Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce workers’ exposure to work hazards
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment in order to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
- Provide coaching and assistance to the site team regarding the implementation of HSE Standards, statutory requirements, industry standards, and best practice.
- Ensure HSE compliance of contractors/sub-contractors/vendors at site, supported by the Site Management Team.
Requirements:
- Proven Health and Safety experience covering more than eight years with at least three years working in international Construction and Engineering projects
- Strong understanding of all civils, structural and architectural aspects as they relate to engineering & construction of projects
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive approaches to HSE and risk management
- Good planning and problem-solving skills
- Project Management
- Resourcefulness, precision, and adaptability
- Predisposition to teamwork
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, ability to build relationships of trust at all organizational levels
- Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory
- Preferable Engineering degree Environmental/Electrical/Civil/Mechanical and / or similar
- Solid knowledge of the legislation in the field of health and safety in the workplace and experience in the role of at least 8 years
- Experience in the application of integrated management systems ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
