About:
You will support the Head of Construction for all aspects of procurement, including managing the pre-qualification stage, produce bid list, bid analysis, produce bid report, and compile contractual documents.
Responsibilities:
- Pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
- Ensure that the solutions offered for a given opportunity ensures the successful project implementation, compliance to standards and achieves highest customer satisfaction
- Prepare all documentation including method statements and other submissions
- Review tender documents and summarize critical information
- Compile and prepare tender queries and response to tender queries
- Prepare and monitor tender progress
- Analysis and evaluation of the technical specifications of the tender specifications
- Coordinate with project team to obtain necessary information to facilitate for tender submission
- Coordinate meetings and prepare meeting minutes during tender stage
- Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Prepare and carry out tender presentation
- Verify the completeness of contract documents (consistency check), supervise their distribution to project team members
- Assist the Head of Construction in identifying and monitoring the main contract risks and developing the contract management execution strategy and assure its implementation throughout the project
- Review all partner agreements and, if necessary, coordinate any necessary update or amendments in line with the contract requirements
- Participate to the contract negotiations
- Monitor market for upcoming tenders and to obtain information
- Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
- Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
- • Maintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of best practices in estimating
Requirements:
- At least 7 years in a relevant tendering capacity dealing with construction projects involving different equipment manufactured in accordance with international standards
- Strong background and experience in the construction industry in the areas of electrical equipment and systems
- Good knowledge of contracts and the procurement code
- Experience in well-structured international companies
- Strong understanding of all mechanical, process, electrical, and plumbing systems, as they relate to construction of projects - and/or
- Strong understanding of all civils, structural and architectural aspects as they relate to construction of projects
- Collaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internally and externally
- Strong communication, English Skill, business management and consulting engagement skills
- Team player, who can work effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Engineering knowledge in MV & LV switchgear, transformer
- Independent and self-driven and work with minimum guidance
- Experience in project management is a plus
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, handling confidential and sensitive information, while maintaining effective working relationships
- Microsoft Office (focused on Excel and Power Point), CAD, Microsoft Project, Project Management professional tools, etc
- Problem-solving attitude with a crucial ability to meet deadlines, strong planning and organizational skills
- To be adapt to quick scenario changes
- Good practices of costing and financial risks
- Sense of urgency and managing priorities to be compliant with tender execution
